What is
electrolysis?
Electrolysis hair removal treats each follicle individually. A very fine probe is inserted through the natural follicle opening and a controlled current is applied to act on the cells responsible for hair growth, providing a method of permanent hair removal.
Because the treatment is carried out follicle by follicle, it does not depend on hair pigment and can be used on dark, light, red and grey hair.

Why are
several sessions needed?
Hair grows in cycles and not all follicles in one area are in the same phase at the same time. That is why treatment is progressive and requires several appointments.
Total duration depends on the area, hair density and structure, previous hair-removal methods and other individual factors.
Part of the hair is growing and can be treated at this stage.
Other follicles move through an intermediate phase.
Some hair is not yet visible, so the area is treated progressively.

Is hair removal permanent?+
The goal is to permanently inactivate a correctly treated follicle. Several sessions are needed to complete an area because hair appears in different growth cycles.
Does it work on blonde, red or grey hair?+
Yes. Electrolysis does not depend on hair pigment, so it can also be used on light, red and grey hair.
Is it painful?+
Sensation varies by person, area and treatment settings. During the consultation we can explain what to expect in your specific case.
How many sessions will I need?+
There is no universal number. It depends on the area, density, growth cycle, previous hair-removal history and other individual factors.
How should I prepare for the appointment?+
Hair needs to be long enough to grip with tweezers. Avoid removing it from the root with tweezers or wax before the appointment.
What happens to the skin afterwards?+
Mild redness or temporary sensitivity may occur. After the session we explain the appropriate care for the treated area.
